As a Generator Service / Installation Technician at PWS, you will be crucial in ensuring the safety, reliability, and peace of mind for our residential and commercial clients by maintaining and repairing generator systems. Your responsibilities include executing diagnostics, running control and power wiring, conducting preventative maintenance, and providing top-notch installation services. Working both independently and with our installation teams, you'll ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently while maintaining clear communication with customers and collaborating with office support to enhance the overall customer experience. Your expertise directly impacts the reliability of our clients' power systems, reducing downtime and safeguarding against outages. Equipped with the latest tools and ongoing training, you'll play an indispensable role in upholding PWS's reputation for quality and customer satisfaction, contributing to our growth and mission to deliver exceptional service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in the installation of generator systems, ensuring all control and power wiring is expertly run and terminated in panels.
- Perform preventative maintenance on generators to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot generator issues, executing necessary repairs efficiently.
- Work independently or collaborate with the installation team to complete projects to the highest standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers and office support to ensure seamless operations.
- Complete work orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain and manage truck inventory to ensure all tools and parts are readily available.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and company goals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in generator installation and repair.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with Service Titan a plus.
- Full-time position working Monday to Friday.
- Availability for on-call shifts after normal working hours may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
