Responsibilities :

As a Respiratory Care Specialist, you will operate under general supervision and medical direction to perform respiratory care-related procedures. You will apply considerable judgment in accordance with the physician's treatment plan and departmental policies. Your scope of practice includes patient and family assessment and management, resource management, care facilitation, and discharge planning.

Your key responsibilities include :

  • Assessing residents' conditions, administering prescribed therapies, and observing and recording residents' progress and reactions to therapy.
  • Providing education and training to residents, family members, and facility staff.
  • Managing life support systems and performing airway care and maintenance.
  • Monitoring mechanical ventilators and participating in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Documenting all resident care services and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of rehabilitation services and adhering to established care plans.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary resident rounds and contributing to quality assurance programs.

    • Qualifications :

    To be successful as a Respiratory Care Specialist, you must possess :

  • A high level of knowledge in respiratory therapy through completion of a NBRC-approved program and at least one year of clinical practice experience.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification and valid State Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

    • The posted salary range is USD $27.30 - USD $30.00 / Hr.
