Responsibilities:
- Prepare/verify shipment contents and ensure accuracy against invoices or orders.
- Create shipping labels and documentation (bills, customs forms, etc.) using shipping software.
- Schedule pickups with carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight, etc.).
- Track and update shipment status in the system.
- Maintain organized shipping records for audits and tracking purposes.
- Coordinate with staff and other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Handle returned shipments and process them according to company policy.
- Inspect packages for damage or defects before shipping.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and systems (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS) preferred.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and data entry).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
