Test Lab Helper (Electrical)

Responsibilities:

• Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment for various tests, including connecting and preparing basic test equipment.
• Track, organize, and maintain lab inventory, ensuring that testing supplies and equipment are readily available.
• Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance on lab equipment and tools, under the guidance of the Test Lab Manager.
• Help document test results, observations, and setup configurations as directed.
• Follow established protocols, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), and helping to ensure a clean and hazard-free test lab environment.
• Provide hands-on support to engineers during test procedures, including moving equipment and following instructions for test setups.
• Keep equipment and test lab space well-organized and maintain an orderly workspace.

Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge is required.
• Knowledge in AutoCAD (ability to read technical drawings and schematics).
• Ability to document test processes and reporting results, modifying technical diagrams for equipment or setups.
• Experience with mid to high voltage.
• Associates Degree preferred, vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or technical fields will also be considered.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or workshop, is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and document information accurately.
• Clear and effective communication skills for following instructions and collaborating with team members.
• Ability to handle and lift equipment as needed, up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
