Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the daily distribution of work through strategic routing, ensuring efficient operations, driver and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in logistics and supply chain management will contribute to the overall success of our organization.
The work schedule is Monday - Saturday weekend rotations
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the daily distribution of work through strategic routing
- Develop and implement demand planning strategies to optimize routing
- Monitor and analyze routing for more efficient opportunities
- Utilize our transportation management systems to track shipments and maintain accurate records
- Oversee materials handling processes, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and inventory control
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, improve efficiency, and reduce driver mileage
- Collaborate with drivers and team members to ensure timely delivery of goods
Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven success in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and materials handling processes
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently with honesty and integrity
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes with minimal disruption to the operations

Note: This is a paid full-time position. Internship positions are also compensated accordingly.
