System Administration IV (U.S. Citizen)

NOTE : This position is for our forthcoming (expected March / April 2025) long-term federal project in San Antonio TX. The position requires candidate to be on-site. Please review the requirements carefully.

Daily Responsibilities

Deploy, sustain and troubleshoot new or existing server operating systems and related infrastructure software and hardware.
Administer day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security and availability of infrastructure platforms.
Act as on-site lead for contractors (timekeeping, reports, etc.)
Perform daily system backups, performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintain security posture of infrastructure systems.
Create standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the infrastructure platforms.
Perform infrastructure platform maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture is maintained.
Assist architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations and testing of infrastructure hardware and software products.

Requirements

Must of a U.S. Citizen (no dual status), as mandated by the government client.

Must be local to the San Antonio TX area and be on-site daily (no convenience travel).

Must have at a minimum an active public trust investigation, and able to obtain and hold a secret clearance.

Must have a CompTIA Security certification.

Must have a Microsoft Window Service 2022 certification (TBD – may be waived by government).

10 years of demonstrated experience in the above referenced responsibilities in a critical communications systems environment, preferably DoD.

5 years of experience in military production systems.

5 years in a hospital network (100 beds).

ACAS experience.

BS / BA degree or equivalent experience may be substituted for a 4-year degree.

Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
