PowerPlan is looking for a Lead Solution Engineer who will work with clients and prospects in North America to understand their business objectives, priorities, challenges and processes to develop solution recommendations, software demonstrations, and client value propositions. The position will
Responsibilities include leading client discovery activities, configuring and leading software demonstrations, delivering executive presentations, developing project business cases, acting as a SME for PowerPlan solutions, and supporting proposal creation. You will partner with our Strategic Account Executives as the “face” of PowerPlan at prospective customers and play a critical role in gathering requirements and presenting recommendations for initiatives that are vital for the future growth of our company.
We are looking for a roll-up-the-sleeves person who can operate tactically to drive requirements gathering and to build the solution, while also thinking strategically to bring prospects a vision of their future state with PowerPlan solutions. This person must have strong passion and an inquisitive spirit, while also being able to quickly build credibility and differentiate our solutions. This position will have visibility and interaction with the most senior leaders at clients and within PowerPlan.

Qualifications
Required
- 5 years experience in working with accounting ortax personas, specifically in energy industry.
- 3 years experience in presales for enterprise software solutions.
- Able to facilitate client interviews and executive discussions
- Able to professionally articulate and relate solution capabilities and value to client’s business environment
- Able to configure and deliver effective software demonstrations
- Able to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments (e.g. next day turnaround)
- Able to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively in
- Able to work well with a remote team
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office
- Ad hoc travel up to 60%
Preferred
- Experience in the sales or customer delivery of solutions that focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
- Knowledge of the PowerPlan products, competitors, and systems landscape
