Job Description

IMMEDIATE OPENING

We are looking for a highly competent, reliable team member with strong organizational abilities, computer skills, forklift experience and a positive attitude to oversee the flow of materials and supplies for a busy production facility. 

PowerRail Distribution Incorporated is a certified AAR M-1003 distributor, manufacturer and remanufacturer of aftermarket locomotive parts, offering a wide range of products.  

We are North America’s leading aftermarket parts provider, supporting both EMD and GE locomotives. In addition to our broad locomotive line, we also provide products for Passenger Transit, Marine and Power Generation markets.

Avoca Rail Products is a Full Service Fabrication and Welding facility located in Duryea, PA right next door to the main office of PowerRail.

Position Summary: Responsible for performing all shipping and receiving duties and maintaining an accurate inventory by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

· Receives and inspects incoming shipments and paperwork for discrepancies/damages and reports problems promptly to the appropriate person.

· Performs data entry of pertinent information in the database for inventory control purposes.

· Ensures  order counts match picking documentation. 

· Signs for incoming deliveries, loads and unloads delivery trailers/trucks by hand or with material handling equipment as needed. 

· Stores materials and supplies within the facility according to part number and/or description by safely performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and stacking by hand or safely using material handling equipment. 

- Assembles kits for shipping

· Performs inventory cycle counts on a scheduled basis to verify physical inventory.

Qualifications

· Able to lift 70 lbs

- Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. 

· Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. 

· Must be able to lift 70lbs.

· Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

- Prior forklift experience preferred.
