Your Job Summary
PDG has immediate openings for Utility Crew Members. Your skillset will involve working with an underground utility crew to install underground pressure and gravity main line. Do you enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and being a part of building something that will last for generations? Your Responsibilities as a Utility Crew Member
- Follow all company safety policies.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards
- Maintain the highest level of service and quality on all projects and job sites
- Encourage and promote a positive work environment for all co-workers
- Occasional overtime as needed and desired
- Work in a team environment
- Night shift work as projects require
- Travel and overnight stay on projects located outside of 2 hour traveling radius
- Inspect equipment before and after each shift
- Perform daily equipment maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to, fuel, lubricants, fluids, and track cleaning
- Report any problems or issues to direct supervisor
- Additional job functions and responsibilities may be required and assigned by management as necessary to meet the required results
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Previous construction work preferred.
- General knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials
- Ability to learn and understand construction best practices, equipment maintenance and use, and OSHA guidelines
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Good physical condition and stamina with ability to lift 50 pounds
- Able to pass drug screen and pre-employment background check
- Physically able to perform recurrent physical labor including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Loading and unloading equipment into and out of delivery vehicles
- Operating hand and power tools requiring repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs
- Ability to work safely outdoors under adverse weather conditions
- Vision adequate to drive, read instructions, manuals, reports, and construction plans
- Hearing adequate to hear equipment in operation, approaching vehicles, audible commands at a distance, and conversations both in person and over the telephone/computer
- Flexibility to work a changing schedule that could include day or night shifts, weekends and/or holidays, and overtime
Your Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Pay Range $15-$19 per hour
- Full Benefits after 90 days of employment, including paid time off
