POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is a qualified professional who, under the general supervision from the Home Health Registered Occupational Therapist, provides direct patient care as prescribed by the referring physician. Administers care plans developed by the Occupational Therapist. Observes response to treatment, documents and adjusts treatment for the quality provisions of care. Suggests areas of departmental and personal improvements related to therapy area. Attains required and procedural competencies.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
- State of Indiana Occupational Therapy Assistant License required or eligible for state licensure within 180 days.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required.
- Meets hiring criteria as defined in agency’s minimum standards.
- Must accept responsibility for maintaining clinical practice skills, learning and adhering to agency’s policies and procedures on an on-going basis.
