Position Summary
Provides nutritional care and support to in-patients and physician-referred outpatients according to established guidelines and under the immediate supervision of the clinical manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs nutritional assessments on patient to determine nutritional status and make appropriate recommendations.
- Interviews patients to obtain information regarding the patient’s nutritional status.
- Reviews doctor’s orders for dietary requirements and modified diets for patients.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree from accredited institution with a major in food and nutrition, in conjunction with Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education approved program.
- Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred but will accept registry eligible*.
- Certification with the state of Indiana or application for certification within one month of Registration.
- Two years’ experience in dietetics and/or food service operations preferred.
