Operational Assistant Job, 8 Hours Days Shift (M-F 5:30a-2p), Outpatient CSC
Powers Health is hiring an Operational Assistant for Outpatient CSC to work days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.
The Community Surgery Center provides outpatient services to a wide variety of patients. Services include GI, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, and Urology, to name a few.
Operational Assistant Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides clerical support to Community Surgery Center as designated.
- Assists in projects by the direction of Clinical Director and/or Nursing Management.
- Keeps control of filing systems including patient medical charts.
- Provides communication to physicians and anesthesia staff regarding their patients arrivals, names, room assignments, location, family members.
- Assists with basic patient care duties as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Typing, computer technology, medical terminology are preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year secretary, medical assistant, nurse assistant, or physician office/clinical/hospital preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required (or obtained within 30 days of hire date).
