Position Summary
Inpatient Admissions, Pre-Admissions, Emergency Room and Outpatient Diagnostic Testing and Treatment areas. Establishes insurance criteria and obtains patients’ pertinent sociocconomic information; enters data into the Online Information System.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete registration in all registration areas in an accurate and timely manner.
- Obtain patient demographic information and enters into hospital computer system.
- Identifies patient payment source, patient insurance types with pre-authorization or referral orders.
Education/Experience
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Typing 35wpm
- Medical Terminology required.
- Previous hospital, healthcare related experience preferred.
