In this critical role, the Phlebotomist serves as a liaison between the patient and the laboratory. Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting blood specimens, urine, and other biological samples from patients
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of specimens to the laboratory
- Performing incidental clerical, cleaning, and supply duties
Education and experience requirements include:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of accredited Phlebotomy certification program
- Registered or eligible with NPA/NCA/ASPT/AMT/ASCP
