Position Summary
Directly supervises the pharmacy information technician and is accountable for supervising the day to day activities of the automation technician staff, providing staff development/training, and evaluating the level of automation technician performance. The Pharmacy Automation Supervisor is also responsible for acquisition, implementation and ongoing maintenance of hardware and software used for pharmacy applications. Omnicell, packagers, pharmacy information systems for patients, retail, robots, division and 340 B Software as well as pump libraries.
Education/Experience
- Must be currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Indiana.
- Must have a current active national certification (PTCB or equivalent or pursing.
- Candidates with supervisory 4-6 years of automation experience as a Pharmacy Technician will be considers in lieu of a degree.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software).
