What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgery Scheduler - Clinic position at Powers Health?
Under the supervision of the Network Manager and/or Office Supervisor, the Surgery Scheduler is responsible for a variety of functions to ensure the accuracy and timely scheduling of surgical procedures. They must maintain all appropriate scheduling records and documentation; communicate effectively with office staff, providers, and patients; and act as a liaison for patients who need additional resources, information, or assistance in this process.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma (or GED equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting required.
- Previous scheduling or registration experience preferred.
- Working knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
- Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred.
- Proficiency with Windows based desktop application is required.
- Basic knowledge of computers, office equipment, keyboard data entry skills are required.
- Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities are necessary to interact with patients, physicians, and other hospital staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required.
