Essential Functions:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Professional Copywriter to join our dynamic team in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in persuasive email marketing, experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and a solid understanding of SEO best practices. This role will drive our brand messaging, create opportunities to share our brand, and support sales and marketing initiatives across multiple channels.
Position Summary
The Professional Copywriter will lead the development and execution of messaging strategies that elevate brand visibility, nurture leads, and drive conversions. You will produce tailored content for diverse platforms, ensure cross-channel consistency, and leverage data-driven insights to refine copy and strategies. Your role is vital in shaping our brand narrative and supporting our marketing success through strategic and persuasive writing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write and edit clear, compelling, and persuasive copy for various platforms, including email campaigns, blog posts, landing pages, website content, and social media posts tailored to the insurance industry.
- Email Marketing: Develop and execute email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to nurture leads, retain clients, and support sales initiatives with a focus on segmentation, A/B testing, and personalization.
- SEO Optimization: Optimize web content, blogs, and landing pages using SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic. Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes to ensure content is optimized for search engines.
- Cross-Channel Consistency: Ensure consistency in messaging across all channels (email, web, social media, print) while tailoring copy for specific platforms and audiences.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, and design teams to understand campaign goals, product offerings, and customer pain points, translating them into persuasive messaging that drives conversions.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze and monitor the effectiveness of copy through data-driven insights, adjusting strategies to improve engagement, open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience in Copywriting: A minimum of 3-5 years of professional copywriting experience, with at least 2 years within the insurance industry or a highly regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare). Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across formats including email marketing, blogs, landing pages, product descriptions, and long-form content.
- Adept at translating complex insurance concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content. Experience working with editorial calendars and managing content across multiple channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall marketing goals.
- Expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar email marketing platforms.
- A sharp eye for detail to ensure that all content is grammatically accurate, adheres to brand guidelines, and is free of errors. Experience in proofreading and editing, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a professional tone.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, development, and design. Ability to clearly present ideas, gather feedback, and incorporate revisions into the final copy.
- Strong working knowledge of SEO best practices for web content, blogs, and landing pages. Experience using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs or similar platforms to track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and engagement metrics. Ability to incorporate relevant keywords naturally while maintaining engaging, high-quality copy.
- Ability to think creatively to develop fresh, innovative approaches to content that capture attention in a competitive market.
- Experience with A/B testing and data-driven content strategies.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting and landing page optimization.
