Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple project teams and contribute to our bidding process. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Lead and mentor project teams, including project engineers, superintendents, and other construction professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Participate in the bid process, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive project estimates and proposals
- Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain project objectives
- Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and other project documentation while maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company policies across project sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 10 years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple large-scale commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and industry standards
- Excellent knowledge of construction scheduling software, MS Office Suite, and project management tools
- Superior leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid)
- Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Strong knowledge of estimating software and cost control systems
- Familiarity with BIM and CAD software
- Expertise in reviewing and interpreting construction documents and technical specifications
