The objective of the Controls Engineering Technician is to help generate control drawings and draw graphics. This role is the first contact for customers and vendors and will direct communications to the proper person as well as support the field staff.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Generate control drawings using Siemens Design Tool (ACAD)
• Package, send out and track Submittals.
• Package and send out Closeout Documents.
• Draw graphic files for use with Insight and Desigo.
• Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in drafting (ACAD).
• Proficient in operating a computer and understanding of Excel and Adobe.
• HVAC knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
• Ability to work long or extended hours to complete task.
• Ability to work with others.
• Ability to discuss issues and come up with solutions.
• Professional image in personal appearance and behavior
• Ability to prioritize work and organize tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Mature judgment.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn the Siemens Tools required for the job: Design Tool, Commissioning Tool, ABT Site, LaunchPad, etc.
