Job Details:
- Experience in managing large scope Data Projects in areas of Data Governance, Data Management, Data Storage Strategy, Data Lake, Reporting and Analytics
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups to come to consensus on topics such as business rules, strategy, and collaboration across various departments
- Experience in strategic planning for data initiatives, including current state analysis, future state development, and gap analysis
- Experience working on systems integration projects and identifying opportunities for integrations that could streamline operations
- Experience in documenting data retention policies and implementation plan to be compliant
- Experience reporting and presenting to executive level leadership teams
- Experience identifying tasks necessary to deliver on high level goals in a project plan
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing data infrastructure including major data applications (business/education), databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines
- Identify pain points, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Define clear objectives for the data architecture
- Develop a detailed data architecture design that aligns with strategic goals
- Define data models, schemas, and data flow diagrams
- Specify hardware and software requirements/recommendations.
Skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong organization skills
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex/technical topics to diverse stakeholders
- More than 6 years of experience in Snowflake
- Qlik and Power BI reporting experience
- Independent worker, able to get tasks completed with minimal oversight
- Ability to structure and develop frameworks and communicate them in a structured and easy-to-understand
- Interest in state-of-the-art technological developments and a good understanding of technical feasibility of data-driven products and services
- Preferred candidates with experience in school system
