Dispatch/Sales in Trucking Operations

Job description

This position is responsible for sourcing, securing and managing the transportation needs of new and existing customers. Consistently adding new customers and growing current accounts is an essential function of this role. Enjoyable, fast paced working environment.

Responsibilities:

· Build and maintain individual relationships with already existing customers.

· Create quotes in TMW for current and potential customer accounts.

· Book 20-30 new trailer moves per day for owner operators.

· Develop business throughout assigned geographical region by utilizing in house reports as well as cold calling.

· Consistently meet or exceed goals set by senior management and prepare reports when required.

· Maintain confidentiality of company information.

· As the primary contact for our customers, you will be responsible for managing the personal relationship between the customer and our company. Strong communication skills, and previous customer service or sales experience is a must. If you are uncomfortable picking up the phone and selling yourself and our company – this job is not for you.

Qualifications:

· At least 2 years experience in the trucking industry, but willing to train the right person. Power Only a plus!

· Positive attitude!

· Ability to develop long term relationships.

· Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly.

· Must be able to multitask and have an excellent memory.

· Must be capable of handling change and adapting to situations as necessary.

· High initiative and high energy.

· Computer literate; TMW a plus.
