Your Mission:
At the heart of the Machinist role is driving our profitability by executing high-precision machining tasks. This involves operating both manual and CNC machinery to produce quality parts. Equipment maintenance and efficient supply management are also key responsibilities.
Duties You Will Excel In:
- Perform advanced machine operations meeting exacting finish standards.
- Refine processes, manage setups, and run machines for exact part production.
- Execute machine cycles, make adjustments, and troubleshoot to specification.
- Navigate complex machine functions and understand material impact.
- Diagnose and repair operational challenges with machinery.
- Analyze blueprints to optimize setup and sequence.
- Conduct initial inspections, ensuring conformance with precision tools.
- Uphold strict quality and safety standards.
- Guide and support apprentices and machinists as needed.
- Employ forklifts or cranes judiciously.
- Adhere to company guidelines and maintain detailed records.
- Proactively communicate and address concerns with management.
- Actively support the culture of continuous improvement and Lean principles.

Skills for Success:
- Proficiency with both manual and CNC machinery operations.
- Capability to set and manage machines efficiently.
- Familiarity with control systems like Mazak, Fanuc, and Mazatrol.
- Expertise in G & M Programming.
- Exceptional mechanical skills and hands-on initiative.
- Competence in machine program optimization.
- Ownership of personal tools.
- Flexibility to train across shop areas as required.
- Skillful use of inspection devices for precision checks.
- Forklift/crane operation capacity.
- Physical ability to handle 50-pound loads.
Experience We Value:
- Ideally 3-5 years in the field.
- Mazak experience is a significant advantage.
- A completed apprenticeship with journeyman qualification is preferred.
