What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fulfillment Associate position at Powertex Group?
Responsible for ensuring the proper identification and picking/packing of company and customer owned goods. Demonstrates a very high level of accuracy and detail-oriented actions in the fulfillment of customer orders using RFSmart warehousing technology. Supports the Distribution Lead and/or Supervisor in the accurate, efficient, cost effective and timely Fulfillment of goods.
- Read and fully understand the Pick Ticket and product descriptions
- Locate product in the warehouse racking and use the RFSmart handheld technology to identify, validate and pull the required product/qty
- Understand and use best practices to safely and securely package goods for shipment
- Restock picking bins/locations as required as well as locating new product into the racking system
- Assists in the put away/return of customer returned items
- Maintains and/or practices product preservation techniques to reduce any inventory preservation concerns
- Constantly maintains organization and cleanliness in picking bins to ensure proper SKU identification
- Frequently verifies and validates warehouse bin and qty reports
- Works closely with Receiving, Shipping and other Fulfillment Associates to coordinate efficient material movement into and out of Distribution
- Willingness and ability to be cross trained in Receiving, Kitting and/or Shipping
- Assists in any/all inventory cycle counts, quarterly, biannual or annual inventory efforts
- Safely uses pallet jacks, hand carts, ladders and forklifts (only if licensed)
- Alert Distribution Lead and/or Distribution Supervisor when fulfillment supplies are at or near reorder levels
- Reports maintenance related issues/concerns to the Distribution Lead and/or Distribution Supervisor so they can request service via MaintainX software
- Supports company Ethos in our daily work environment
- Maintain professionalism in all communication and actions when working with any individuals within or outside the company on behalf of the company
- Works to meet expectations as it relates to the Fulfillment of goods to meet internal and external expectations for quality, timelines and cost
- Follows all safety protocol, uses the appropriate PPE where required and ensures the support team is also in compliance
- Supports all Lean initiatives
- Ensures housekeeping standards are met and maintained in the immediate work area(s)
- Supports improvement opportunities and is willing to offer suggestions/continuous improvement ideas as it relates to fulfillment operations
- Performs other duties as requested
- Previous Fulfillment and/or Warehouse experience highly recommended
- Willing to become Forklift certified
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Understanding of the Fulfillment and/or Warehouse process, procedures, and safe working practices
- High attention to detail and the proven ability to remain accurate in tasks
- Professionalism in communication and the willingness to hold a standard of conduct
- Exercise good judgment in work methods and coordination of goods movement into and out of Fulfillment
- Excellent skills in organization and communication
- Desire to integrate company Ethos into the foundation of our daily activities
This position requires working from a standing position with frequently lifting <50lbs, kneeling, crouching, twisting, climbing and bending.
