OVERVIEW :
Our client is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.
Ensure project plan is created, updated, and managed throughout the project.
Introduce professional project management practices in tandem with federal government requirements.
Understand detailed requirements of project plan.
Monitor progress of team members against the plan and work with appropriate team members to close potential gaps before issues arise.
Report to senior leadership on progress of project on a regular basis.
Ensure necessary updates and reporting meets requirements and is made timely to federal government partner.
Lead project planning and update meetings to ensure effective communication across the project team.
Ensure required policies and procedures for the project are followed (i.e. adherence to procurement policy).
Responsible to deliver required documentation throughout project.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree in business-related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of large capital project management experience.
Working knowledge and experience in federally funded capital projects.
Working knowledge and experience with large construction projects.
Manufacturing background and experience with construction additions, greenfield projects, retrofitting, metals, plastics, cement, or chemical processes.
Experience working in a multi-disciplined team that doesn’t report directly to the role to deliver results.
Ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret data and documents such as reports and correspondence.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
Ability to work in office, construction site, and manufacturing plant environments frequently and consistently.
Ability to travel 40% of time as project ramps up.
