Job Description:
We’re currently seeking Master Scheduler to join our client’s Team! Our ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of Scheduling experience, preferably utilizing IQMS. Located in Saline, Michigan, our client provides world-class engineering solutions for advanced composites and engineered resins across multiple industries. They engineer innovative ideas for today's complex design and manufacturing issues.
The Master Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that all timelines related to the manufacturing of our client’s products (including procurement, sourcing and production) are adhered to and proceed in an efficient manner. Plans and prepares production schedules for the manufacturing floor.
Duties include:
- Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each work order to meet shipping dates according to customer orders and/or sales forecasts.
- Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data utilizing IQMS to determine molding machine, tool, and human resource requirements.
- Plans and schedules workflow for operations according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Plans molding, assembly, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
- Confers with plant floor supervision to determine status of assigned projects.
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Prepares production reports:
- Earned Hours
- Capacity Planning
- Customer Schedules
- Works with customers to schedule trucks and customer specific packaging.
- Participate in problem solution teams for past due items.
- Coordinate with customer service support team to ensure timely answers to customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 4 to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Excellent mathematical skills, including proven ability to work with concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of Enterprise Management Systems (preferably IQMS).
