We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of ten years of experience for our client's DC Metro office.
This role provides the opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office.
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing engineering for a variety of projects involving HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and coordinating multifaceted projects.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- ~10 years of engineering work experience including:
~ Designing HVAC and plumbing systems. - ~ Managing and designing multiple concurrent projects.
- ~ Managing project team for budget and schedule control.
- ~ Experience with Load Calculation Software.
- ~ Working knowledge of REVIT and CAD.
- ~ Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus.
- ~ Active local industry involvement is a plus.
- ~ Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing, and ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards.
- ~ Reading and preparing project drawings including ductwork plans, piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, and bills of materials.
- ~ Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs.
- ~ Ability to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams.
- ~ Ability to travel periodically.
