Job Overview
We are seeking a Research Analyst to support our recruiting team by conducting in-depth research, analyzing labor markets, and identifying strategic solutions for hard-to-fill job positions across multiple industries. This role will be responsible for sourcing talent, researching industry trends, identifying alternative recruitment strategies, and improving recruiter efficiency . The Research Analyst will play a crucial role in helping Powerwell's recruiters target the right people and close hiring deals effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Industry Research & Talent Sourcing
- Conduct comprehensive research on industries with high-demand, hard-to-fill roles, including engineering, healthcare, logistics, legal, finance, IT, and more .
- Identify key employers, competitors, and organizations in target industries where potential candidates may be employed.
- Research universities, trade schools, apprenticeships, and certification programs that produce skilled professionals for various industries.
- Analyze workforce demographics, skill gaps, and employment trends to help recruiters refine their sourcing strategies.
Recruitment Strategy & Problem-Solving
Develop innovative sourcing strategies beyond traditional job boards.Identify and recommend industry-specific databases, job boards, talent pipelines, and alternative recruitment methods .Research and establish relationships with professional organizations, alumni associations, trade unions, and workforce development programs .Assist recruiters with targeted outreach strategies for passive candidates.Identify global talent pools, remote workforce trends, and alternative hiring solutions when local talent is scarce.Beyond Social Media – Alternative Research Solutions
Industry Conferences & Events : Identify relevant conferences, job fairs, and networking events where Powerwell can connect with top talent.Government & Workforce Development Programs : Research local, state, and federal workforce programs, grants, and partnerships that help recruit specialized talent.Referral Networks & Alumni Associations : Develop strategies to engage alumni groups, trade organizations, and employee referral networks .Online & Offline Publications : Research industry magazines, research papers, and professional directories to find thought leaders and skilled professionals.Freelance & Contract Markets : Identify freelance platforms, consulting networks, and gig economy professionals who can be converted into full-time employees.Market & Business Intelligence
Gather and analyze data on compensation trends, job demand, and workforce mobility to support recruiters in negotiations.Provide competitor insights on how other companies are sourcing and retaining talent.Track legislative and regulatory changes affecting employment and hiring practices across different industries.Create reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership on emerging hiring challenges and market opportunities .Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Market Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.2 years of experience in research, recruitment, market analysis, or business intelligence.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies .Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment databases, and professional networking platforms .Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, data visualization tools, and online research methods .Excellent communication and report-writing skills to present findings effectively.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fully remote environment .Why Join Powerwell?
