Powill Manufacturing and Engineering has an immediate opening for an experienced Deburr Technician/ Hand Finisher in our Aerospace CNC machine shop. You need to be detailed oriented, highly organized, creative, flexible and a great team player. All Aerospace Deburr, Hand Finishers with a minimum of two years’ experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Deburring, cleaning and removing sharp edges and chamfering parts by using manual and automatic power tools and hand tools.
- Polishing metal components to provide a quality finish that surpasses our customers’ expectations.
- Work close with machinists and the QC department to improve part quality.
- Uses problem solving skills in trying new techniques to deburr/clean/polish otherwise inaccessible areas.
- Self-inspect work and strive for consistent quality within same-part work orders and between similar parts and materials.
- Good vision and good hand-eye coordination is important in this function.
- Maintain clean working environment.
- Identify and notify our Quality team of potential defects or non-conforming material.
- May occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as assigned.
