Summary:

Our interns will work on the cutting-edge of energy storage technology, gaining exposure to a transformative field. You will be introduced to a world of innovative ideas and stand on the frontlines of enabling renewable energy sources. Working side-by-side with experienced and forward-thinking industry professionals, this internship is an opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience while making meaningful contributions that impact the world.

This role will be responsible for the overall support of the Powin EHS team, both domestically and internationally and will play a vital part in the team’s global success. This role will actively contribute to and manage the behind-the-scenes functions of the EHS team. This is a fully remote position, with minimal travel for occasional team meetings or educational conferences.

Job Duties:

• Collect and analyze monthly EHS data, and compile EHS metrics for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting
• Create monthly safety moments, toolbox talks and Powineer safety corner articles, and maintain the library these are stored in
• Review incidents in the EHS Insight database and create trends and usable data from that review
• Maintain the EHS manual, including scheduling quarterly and annual reviews, adding content, maintaining the needed change tracker, and working with the Powin communications team to implement communication strategy in support of changes
• Support the EHS Managers in the upkeep of the ISNet, Avetta and Responsive databases
• Collaborate with the Powin Engineering, Training, and Implementation teams to create EHS processes and procedures
• Work with the ESG Manager to gather data in support of ESG reporting requirements, and as needed build/distribute ESG reports
• Maintain a library of regulatorily required records such as OSHA annual 300 logs, audit forms and EPA recycling documents
• Assist in the contracting and management of EHS vendors
• Manage the RFP and RFI workflow process and ensure applicable and key contributors are engaged
• Evaluate current and future EHS programs and systems and provide insight into process improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field, such as Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or Workplace Safety
• Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory that governs EHS activities, such as OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and ASTM
• Basic knowledge and understanding of annual OSHA reporting requirements, and the data that feeds into these requirements
• Basic user level knowledge of Outlook, MS OneNote and MS Word, and advanced user knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Ability to read complicated datana and metrics and distill this data to make it easily digestible for end users
• Ability to compile and organize data from multiple sources
• Basic understanding of EHS databases, such as EHS Insight, Velocity, EHS, Sphera or ProCore
• Proficiency in technical writing
• Flexible and able to pivot between tasks on a regular basis
• Ability to work remotely, without direct supervision for extended periods of time
• Proactively engages with internal customers to solve problems independently
• Detail-oriented with an understanding of how small details can impact the overall accuracy of EHS data
• Customer-first, service-oriented focus, and approach to work

Compensation for this position is commensurate with location, experience and relevant skills.​ The national Average Base Salary Range is $23.00/hr.-$26.00/hr. Additional Benefits include coverage under the Company's health and welfare plan and 401k plan. Flexible Work Arrangements and more.
