Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage journal entries, payroll, and tax.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and assist with tax filings as necessary.
- Supervise payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as QuickBooks or Quicken for efficient financial management.
- Conduct technical accounting analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Train, mentor, and develop accounting staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software, including QuickBooks, Quicken, or other accounting systems.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.
