What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Helper position at PPC FLEX?
We are looking for a Press production worker in our Payson location. The Press Assistant is responsible to help the Press Operator ensure the efficient running of the customer’s order; control and monitor inks and materials for current order; stage and prepare inks, materials, doctor blade chambers, Anilox, sleeves, and order information for subsequent job runs.
While taking direction from the Press Operator, to successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
- Read and understand the Run Condition Report.
- Prepare and stage inks, materials, doctor blade chambers, Anilox, sleeves and order information for subsequent jobs.
- Stage proper setup materials.
- Communicate with Operator during setups.
- Load and remove material from the machine.
- Maintain inks at proper viscosity.
- Maintain a clean and organized ink pump and pump area.
- Clean and return all sleeves and plates from previous job.
- Clean and return all anilox after changing.
- Cover all anilox after use.
- Track and report all waste setup to the Operator.
- Assist operator in cleaning the press and area around the press.
- Assist operator in reporting any and all mechanical issues encountered during shift.
- Regular attendance is required
