Clinical assistant

Job Summary
The Clinical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care within a hospital or urgent care setting. This position involves assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks to enhance patient service and ensure smooth operations within the medical environment. The Clinical Assistant will work closely with patients, medical staff, and other departments to facilitate effective communication and deliver exceptional care.

Duties

• Provide direct support to healthcare providers in both clinical and administrative capacities.
• Assist in patient intake processes, including gathering medical history and vital signs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is up-to-date within the hospital systems.
• Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff to enhance patient service.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist during procedures in the Operating Room (OR) as needed.
• Support the healthcare team in managing patient flow, especially in urgent care settings.
• Participate in training sessions related to hospital medicine and trauma care protocols, including Level I and Level II Trauma Center standards.
• Uphold safety protocols and infection control measures while interacting with patients.

Skills

• Proficiency in medical administrative support systems relevant to hospital settings.
• Strong understanding of patient service principles, particularly in high-pressure environments like urgent care or trauma centers.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with clinical procedures and protocols specific to hospital medicine and trauma care.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
