Tooling and Facilities Manager
Responsible for overseeing and managing the tooling department, as well as overseeing all MP Systems Facilities & the maintenance of those facilities. Provide leadership and guidance to the Tool Department, take charge of challenging projects, encourage teamwork, and supply the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve company goals and objectives. Oversee the entire tool purchasing process including budget, process improvements, and vendor relationships. Conduct business in accordance with PPC and MP Systems, Inc.’s mission and vision statements.
Responsibility:
- Oversee the tooling compliance program and ensure that all compliance standards are met at the proper level of inspection on the correct timetable.
- Responsible for complete tooling inventory conducted on an annual basis.
- Oversee the proper use of the tooling program to track, assign and log issues with tooling.
- Manage all employees in the tooling department.
- Assist Division Managers to help them stay within budget for tooling by price checking and supply accurate tooling inventories to make informed decisions on purchases.
- Oversee approvals on all tooling purchases.
- Work with tooling vendors to establish volume pricing with excellent service.
- Responsible for overseeing all MP Systems Facilities and their maintenance including scheduled maintenance such as cleaning, rug contracts and all other required facilities upkeep including but not limited to: Security systems, Camera systems, Gates / Fencing, Building lighting External and internal / Parking lot, Septic systems,HVAC, snow and Ice removal, Lawn Services, any annual inspection or testing of systems in the buildings, Phone systems, Utilities, Facility Keys and Badges.
- Managing renovations, refurbishments and additions to MP Systems Buildings.
- Assist with Budgeting needs for the entire company for tooling and buildings.
- Manage the building budget.
- Responsible for the MP systems office furniture for condition and replacements as well as new purchases.
- Read industry publications to stay knowledgeable of new technologies and best practices
- Assess own development needs and plan with your supervisor for incorporation into your development plan.
- Participate in employee continuing education in house or through outside programs.Achieve the minimum required hours per level.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required.
- 5-10 years related experience.Experience working with budgets.
- Experience and knowledge with industry related tooling.
- Valid Driver’s License Required.
- Prior experience in facilities management.
- Advanced computer/technical skills including experience with Microsoft Office programs. Enthusiasm for training in other software applications as needed
