The Manager, Safety Training & Compliance is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of field-related training programs while ensuring the organization adheres to relevant regulations, policies, and standards. This role combines elements of both training and compliance, ensuring employees are equipped with the necessary skills while also making sure the organization complies with industry-specific laws and regulations. Collaborate and interface with safety and operations on a regular basis to reach company objectives.
Training Program Development:
- Design, develop, and implement training programs for employees to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and tailor programs to meet those needs.
- Develop and maintain materials, resources, and online training modules.
- Train supervisors and field personnel on required and supplemental training topics.Identify additional training warranted through needs assessments.
- Lead customer-required training to support the company’s customer relationships
Training Delivery:
- Deliver in-person or virtual training sessions, ensuring effective communication and engagement with employees.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees to reinforce training concepts.
Compliance:
- Monitor and enforce adherence to industry regulations, standards, and internal policies.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant with local, state, and federal rules.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to legal and company standards.
- Review documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted per requirements and established procedures.Implement appropriate corrective action as needed.
Communication:
- Ensure that the company is staying abreast of any new industry-related training or compliance issues in order to react and implement adjustments as soon as possible.
- Participate in operations’ meetings to instruct employees in matters pertaining to training and compliance.
- Converse clearly and regularly with management, supervisors, and field personnel to perform the essential responsibilities of this position.
