What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician, 2nd or 3rd shift position at PPG US Industrial Facilities?
As a Quality Control Technician, you will perform chemical and physical tests on existing products and raw materials at our Little Rock, Arkansas Plant. You will also evaluate results to determine if products meet specifications resulting in a quality product! You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage lab materials and investigate for product quality problems, resolve root cause, assemble, and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause.
- Test and examine samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations at work to provide a safe working environment on and off site to minimize all liabilities.
- Ensure that any problems or unusual observations regarding coatings or testing equipment are reported to Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School diploma/Equivalent with 1 year of industrial laboratory experience or have academic training in science and mathematics.
- EHS training requirements – emergency response, hazardous waste, fire safety, industrial ergonomics, PPE, walking and working surfaces while being able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work 2nd shift hours Monday thru Friday (1pm – 9:30pm) with occasional overtime.
