What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician, 3rd Shift position at PPG US Industrial Facilities?
As a Quality Control Technician, 3rd Shift, you will perform laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of in-process batches, raw materials, and finished products for such purposes as quality control, process control, or product development.

Responsibilities:
You will verify formula and component specifications on batch tickets.
Set up, adjust, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such paint guns, mixers, viscometers, chemical balances, pH meters, gloss meters, solids analyzer, spectrophotometer, and other equipment.
Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
Record test results on batch tickets and in our computer operating system.
You will manage quality records and retain production batches.
Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
Perform routine production quality checks to ensure finished products are filled and packaged according to specifications.
You will perform occasional quality audits of the laboratory and production work instructions to ensure compliance with our Quality Policy.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1 years of manufacturing or lab experience; or technical education.
Basic knowledge of mathematics and scientific principles.
Proficient measuring skills and ability to accurately record data.
Must be able to work 3rd shift.
