What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Development Manager - The Pittsburgh Paints Company position at PPG?
As an Account Development Manager, you will grow new sales through assigned PPG Paints stores, growing both existing business year-over-year, and developing new accounts.
You will report to the Regional Manager and work remotely/on the road based in the Des Moines, IA area.

Pittsburgh Paint Co., formerly part of PPG, is an industry leader in residential and commercial architectural coatings through its well-known portfolio of brands, including GLIDDEN®, OLYMPIC®, LIQUID NAILS®, HOMAX®, PITTSBURGH PAINTS & STAINS®, Manor Hall®, FLOOD®, DULUX® (in Canada), and SICO®, among others. New Co. manufactures and sells interior and exterior paints, stains, caulks, repair products, adhesives, and sealants for homeowners and professionals. It also includes certain light-duty protective coatings products that are primarily sold through company-owned stores and manufactured through a common factory footprint. In total, our distribution network includes more than 15,000 touchpoints through company-owned stores, independent dealer locations, and major home improvement centers and retailers across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities
- Ensure outstanding customer service is provided to existing customer account by keeping up to date with current promotions, new products, and with current customer service practices to find opportunities for growth.
- Develop account planning strategies, sales opportunities, and understand existing business and the segments they serve.
- Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to run accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports.
- Collaborate with store managers and employees to ensure customers' needs are met.
- Facilitate customer quotes to achieve margin targets according to PPG pricing strategies.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Three (3) years' experience with stellar customer service acuity.
- CRM software experience preferred while previous coatings experience is sought after.
- Daily travel within an assigned territory; must have valid driver's license.
