PURPOSE OF POSITION

Assemble and ship correct parts, components, and products as scheduled according to company and customer specifications.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.


More specifically, the employee owner will:

  • Know all jobs in Shipping/Assembly department.
  • Be familiar with shipping paperwork including but not limited to shipping order, bill of lading, transfer sheet, packing list and UPS tags.
  • Grease, clean, assemble, and paint components.
  • Gather, assemble, and prepare orders for shipment including palletizing according to company and customer specifications.
  • Organize and load finished orders on common or private carriers.
  • Ship via UPS or airfreight companies.
  • Label and count parts and components.
  • Construct pallets.
  • Verify the quality of workmanship for any product leaving the facility.
  • Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
  • Continually participate in additional training related to the position.
  • Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Regular, consistent attendance.

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS

  • High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES

  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
  • Ability to obtain forklift license.

  • Must be able to frequently stoop/bend.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands and arms.

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assist available.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
  • Specific hearing abilities required for this job include the ability to hear equipment alarms and the ability to hear instructions from others.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually LOUD.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to toxic chemicals.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator when painting and seatbelt when driving.
