PPI Quality & Engineering is excited to support our parent company, Kiwa North America, in recruiting for a Senior Tax Accountant to join its fast-growing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization, playing a key role in state and local tax compliance and planning while contributing to Kiwa’s global tax strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate tax provisions, create, keep and update excel models for this effect integrating these with our accounting teams and external tax advisors;
- Estimate Tax Payments;
- Prepare and Review Federal, State and local tax returns for Income tax, Sales and Use tax and Property tax;
- Research and analyze state and local tax laws and regulations and monitor changes that may affect our business;
- Receive, analyze and respond to Tax inquiries and audits from local and federal tax authorities;
- Work with the accounting department and other business units within the U.S. group to gather information and prepare Effective Tax Rate overviews;
- Understanding of US reporting requirements as the organization is part of a global group;
- Provide tax advice and guidance on various business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and audits;
- Manage state and local tax audits and inquiries and negotiate with federal and state tax authorities to resolve any issues or disputes;
- Support the M&A process and Integrations from a tax perspective;
- Other relevant tax topics as needed.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
- 5 years’ experience, preferably with exposure to a public accounting firm and experience in a multinational corporation with exposure to the Professional Services Industry
- Familiarity with tax software, databases and global ERP

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation
- Prior exposure to International Global Corporations
