What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adhoc Mechanical Inspector position at PPI Quality & Engineering?
Roles & Responsibilities
- Attendance to Company witness & hold points on Contractors ITP
- QA surveillance of contractor’s adherence to contractual requirements of mechanical equipment installations and completions at facilities site
- Complete field level risk assessments.
- Interface with Construction and monitor contractors’ mechanical completion and pre-commissioning activities (rotating equipment cold/hot alignments)
- Conduct walk downs as required representing the Mechanical commissioning discipline
- Completion of approved commissioning check sheets.
- Assist vendor representatives and site operations in commissioning and start up activities
- Create and execute Mechanical commissioning packages
- Adhere to standards of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) requirements; takes reasonable care of one’s own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Follows and maintains Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements
- Audit DCC on inspection records, contractors ITP and adherence to contractors Quality Plan
- Sign off mechanical discipline inspection test records, contractors ITP and adherence to contractors Quality Plan
Requirements
- 10-15 years of fabrication and inspection, certification of pressure vessels
- Certified ASME Inspector (API 510)
- Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI or Equivalent)
- NDE Level 2 minimum in the following methods – RT, UT, PT & MPI
- NACE Level 2 or 3 with good working knowledge of Fireproofing and cold insulation of material
Desired:
- Previous experience working on fabrication and installation of package equipment such as Capacity Air Dryer
- Familiarity with products manufactured by Danmar Industries, Inc. Houston will be added advantage.
