PPL Electric Utilities, a leading utility company in the United States, is seeking a Material Worker to join its team. As a Material Worker, you will be responsible for receiving, issuing, and maintaining materials and material inventory in Regional Service Center storerooms and warehouses.
This is a union position located at PPL's Lancaster Service Center. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Uses software and associated hardware devices provided to effectively perform material-related duties.
- Picks, packs, delivers, and ships materials, tools, and any other items or materials as requested.
- Receives material in warehouse and performs the receipt of material in the current system.
- Processes returns.
- Stocks material in warehouse.
- Organizes and maintains materials in the Service Center laydown yard.
- Picks, organizes, and bins materials to support upcoming jobs.
- Conducts inventory checks and cycle counts as directed.
- Operates powered industrial lift trucks to move material.
- Performs such other related duties as assigned or as necessary.
