Manager Agile Operations

Overview: Responsibilities:

• Ensure teams adhere to Agile and SAFe practices and principles and IT operating model processes as defined by LACE, where applicable
• Promotes a continuous learning culture and facilitates an effective large scale adoption of SAFe framework
• Promotes teams to facilitate and support enabling agile teams to deliver value to the customer through flexible, iterative customer centered processes
• Ensure effective Agile Ceremonies are run in accordance with standards, effective risk management in place and measures in place to ensure milestones are completed on time, within budget and to required quality standards
• Leads escalation efforts within teams to remove impediments to instill a high level of customer satisfaction within the organization
• Be a champion of OCM activities across project and agile teams
• Establish key metrics to track the success of the team in meeting strategic objectives and project effectiveness
• Provide active leadership and operational management for project monitoring and reporting, incident investigation and lessons learned and best practices within the team.
• Work with IT Organization to provide resourcing to agile and project teams, reviewing allocation of existing staff to maintain productive workload levels
• Manage, coach, and mentor team members. Develop staff to maintain the desired technical and leadership skills required for the group
• Interview and hire qualified team members, striving to improve organization's bench strength and augment agile or project teams with contract staff when required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of related experience in innovative agile practices including product operations, product management and/or enterprise project/portfolio management
• 5 years leadership experience and coaching others in new ways of working
• Experience in coaching teams in a support of complex information technology projects
• Strong negotiation, influence, consultation, and facilitation skills Proven background in building scalable processes and teams
• Expert in Azure Dev Ops or other Agile Work Management Systems
• Agile certifications such as SAFe Agilist, CSM, PSM or PSPO

• MBA or master’s degree
• Extensive utilities or energy experience
• Expert in modern development, testing, operations and support process in software development
• Experience managing teams leveraging Portfolio SAFe approach
