By building these relationships, this role will be the face of our company to our broker partners, Supporting business development and retention.
The Broker Relationship Manager will play a crucial part in expanding our distribution network, by positioning LegalShield and IDShield as market leading products and services. Additionally, this position will collaborate closely with these brokers to drive membership sales, utilization, and retention. The Broker Relationship Manager’s ability to spot opportunities and influence brokers is instrumental in achieving our market presence and revenue goals.
This role extends to being a supportive resource for our broker network and will provide training, resources, and assistance to help brokers effectively sell and service our products. The Broker Relationship Manager’s keen eye for market trends and competitive intelligence will empower brokers to make informed decisions and stay ahead in the marketplace.
A deep understanding of our company's products or services is essential. The Broker Relationship Manager will be responsible for equipping brokers with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings, enabling them to communicate the unique value propositions to clients. Broker Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and customers.
- Regularly engage with brokers to understand their needs, concerns, and feedback.
- Own the overall broker and customer day-to-day service experience, addressing escalated concerns and advocating on behalf of the member or customer. Provide training and support to brokers to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the company's products and can effectively service and educate clients.
- Collaborate with brokers to develop business plans and strategies for mutual growth.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews to maintain compliance.
- Ensure that brokers adhere to all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
- Participate in first sale efforts including finalist meetings, implementation meetings, enrollment meetings/benefit fairs and related service activities.
- Meet re-enrollment objectives by identifying opportunities within the block of business and successfully positioning our communication capabilities with broker and customer contacts.
- Meet cross-sale deliverables by identifying existing one-product customers and positioning the value of offering both LegalShield and IDShield.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues or challenges faced by brokers during the lifetime of a customer.
- Meet customer retention goals by proactively building relationships and providing valuable service.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats in the market.
- Share market insights with brokers to help them make informed decisions.
- Prepare regular reports documenting the activities and materials deployed with each customer and noting key account details.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company's products or services to effectively communicate their value propositions to brokers.
- Assist brokers in understanding and adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that brokers have access to up-to-date product information and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with brokers to align their sales strategies with the company's product offerings.
- Make the Broker Team better through collaboration, information sharing, and leveraging of broker relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of employee benefits or brokerage experience.
- Proven experience in relationship management, sales, or business development.
- Strong knowledge of the industry and products/services being offered.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote work environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Efficient time management and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
