PPM Consulting, Inc. (PPM), is an Environmental Consulting Firm with multiple offices across the Southeastern United States. Our Birmingham, Alabama, office is seeking an energetic and career orientated Engineer or Geologist (0 to 2 years of experience) to join our team.
The position is responsible for completing field and office efforts including collecting environmental samples (air / water / soil / sediment); installing soil borings / monitoring wells; installing various types of remediation systems; oversight of subcontractors; and assisting with data evaluation and report preparation. Responsibilities also include environmental compliance assistance for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and governmental clients.
Candidates should have : the ability to safely work independently and in teams while consistently following specific instructions and guidelines; effective communication skills, both verbal and written; exceptional diligence; and a clear driving record. Travel is required to specific project sites. Candidates should also be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, at a minimum.
This position requires a BS degree in Engineering or Geology from an accredited university.
