Machine Maintenance Manager
Responsibilities :
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structure, and air and electrical systems following specifications, drawings, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoist, cranes, and testing instruments.
Requirements :
Confers with production manager for priorities relating to maintenance activities.
Confers with engineers, production manager, GM, outside experts, or others to resolve maintenance problems.
Reads and comprehends complex engineering drawings, manuals, and any special specifications to effectively and safely plan preventative maintenance and repair activities for all machinery and equipment.
Diagnoses and detects machine malfunctions using maintenance request forms or by discussing problems with machine operators.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and drawings, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
Installs and repairs electrical connections to machinery and equipment.
Repairs and maintains building structure and compressed air system.
Installs machinery and equipment.
Develops and implements maintenance methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve shop safety.
Performs timely maintenance functions to accommodate revised production schedules and priorities as result of customer requests, equipment failure, or operating problems.
Must be a team player
Experience :
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in manufacturing environment
Minimum of 3 years in maintenance experience
CNC experience required
Vocational education or engineering degree desirable.
