Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Asbestos Manager to oversee all aspects of asbestos management and abatement projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental safety, specifically in asbestos abatement, mold remediation, and OSHA regulations. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to build and restore safe environments while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate asbestos abatement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of sites to identify asbestos-containing materials.
- Develop and implement effective remediation plans that prioritize safety and compliance with OSHA guidelines.
- Supervise and train staff on proper asbestos handling procedures, including mold remediation techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, abatement activities, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in asbestos management technologies.
Requirements
- AHERA Contractor Supervisor or Worker Certification (required)
- Current Asbestos Physical with Respirator Fit Test within the past 9 months (required)
- Lead Worker Certification (optional, but preferred)
- Proven experience in asbestos management or a related field with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of mold remediation processes is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with building containments and maintaining negative air pressure (preferred)
- Ability to build relationships with clients while restoring safe environments.
- Relevant certifications in asbestos abatement management are preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
