Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in production monitoring, automation, and support for large-scale enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in managing production support activities, automating processes, and ensuring high system availability and performance. This role requires strong coordination skills, technical knowledge, and a focus on continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Production Monitoring & Automation: Oversee production support tasks across multiple teams (Tier-1 to Tier-3). Manage system health using monitoring tools like AppDynamics and Splunk, identify automation opportunities, and implement monitoring dashboards for various stakeholders.
- Production Support & System Recovery: Lead the production support process, collaborating with various teams to resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement automation for incident resolution and system recovery.
- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and resources. Track project metrics and incident data, providing regular updates and identifying improvements through Agile retrospectives.
- Collaboration with Federated Delivery Teams: Work with delivery teams to create and manage stories for production-hardening features and incident resolution.
- Release Management & Product Readiness: Support the Release Manager in the Deployment Site Readiness Test (DSRT) and ensure production readiness for each PI deployment, including updating checklists and collaborating with Web Apps teams.
- Continuous Improvement & Best Practices: Drive improvements in production support processes, monitoring, and system performance through analysis, tool implementation, and proactive identification of technical debt.
Required Experience:
- 5 years in production monitoring, automation, and support management.
- Experience with tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS EKS).
- Knowledge of Service Mesh technologies like ISTIO.
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing support across multiple teams (IT Operations, Production Support, Development).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools for cloud/container environments.
- Familiarity with IRS enterprise defect processes (IMR, PMR).
