What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with teachers and school leaders to deliver targeted, culturally responsive support in elementary school math
- Engage small groups of students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and resilience
- Be a valued part of a team dedicated to transforming educational outcomes in underserved communities
- Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Time:8:30AM to 11:30 AM
- Duration:January14th, 2025– April 10th, 2025(excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- January 29 (Lunar New Year)
- February 17 – February 21 (Midwinter Recess)
- March 6(K-5Parent-Teacher Conferences – Early Dismissal)
- Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching elementary school level math
- Bilingual Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to provide academic support in both languages
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $22/hr with the opportunity to increase to $24.20/hr through a completion bonus
