What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to provide targeted, culturally responsive math instruction
- Serve as a push-in support, assisting teachers during lessons and working with small groups of students to reinforce key math concepts
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their academic goals
- Provide individualized attention to students as needed to address specific challenges in math
- Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Time: 9:00 AM – 2:50 PM
- Duration: March 4, 2025 – April 10, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- March 13: Middle School Parent-Teacher Conferences
- Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching middle school math
- Subject Proficiency: Strong knowledge of 6th-grade math concepts and strategies for supporting multilingual learners
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English to effectively support diverse learners
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $22/hr with the opportunity to increase to $24.20/hr through a completion bonus
