About Memorial Middle School: Memorial Middle School, located in the heart of historic Seminole Heights near downtown Tampa, serves approximately 600 students in grades 6-8. The school has a diverse student body, with 70% Hispanic, 18% Black, 8% White, and 3% identifying as two or more races. A significant portion of the students (72%) are economically disadvantaged. The school offers a range of electives, including Spanish, Art, Drama, AVID college readiness, and Band, and emphasizes community partnerships to empower students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring focusing on English Language Arts (ELA)
• Support bilingual students in achieving language proficiency and academic excellence
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to develop personalized learning strategies for each student
• Monitor and report on student progress
• Participate in monthly training sessions
  
  

Qualities We Seek:

• Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both Spanish and English is required
